Weekend News
Molly - Me have babies at home. Me go downstairs.
Reyn - I went to the movie theater. I watch Elsa. I danced with mommy.
Almy - I went to my grandpa and grandma's. I played with them. We played tag-your-it. I went out to lunch.
James - I just stayed home. I was playing with magnatiles. I had some upstairs and I was building an elephant's doggie costume.
Jamesy - I saw Nanny at home. There's balloons at home. It's for sissy's party.
Vivian - At the end of one of the weekends, I went to a playground and I played. I played at home and waited until my mama made dinner. I had a wooden thing that had some paints that I could paint on. I had chocolate chips for dessert after dinner.
Amelia - I go to Whole Foods, I saw Cameron, we buyed some food, I go in the car. I watched something on the phone. Then mommy came to pick me up from grandma's house. I went in the car and I go to my house. Then I took Golden out of the cage, and mommy took her to go out to the bathroom.
London - Zay cut my hair.
Milan - I go to the store with daddy to buy some stuff. My brother stayed home with mommy. My mommy went to the store by herself.
Cameron - So I just was sleeping and I only got my clothes on. April was here at Halloween and April was here at a playdate. Amelia was here at Halloween. I also saw Amelia at Whole Foods.
Cam - Mommy had pizza for me. I stayed at home and played. I played with the magnatiles. I made a clocktower.
Alycia - I just went home. Mommy got the Eagles. Mommy and daddy went to church. I just painting. DJ playing a game.
April - I had a playdate at Cameron's house. I go'ed in his bedroom. We read books. I go with mommy and Joey.
Thea - I played outside with mommy and daddy and Quinny. We played hide and seek, and played tag. I made chocolate chip muffins, and plain muffins, and corn muffins with mommy. My mommy put them in the oven and I waited until they were done.
The Cardinals began their day in Spanish class with Alicia. Upon entering the classroom, friends gathered on the rug and Alicia went around greeting each friend. Following our weekly routine and moment of silent, Alicia explained that we would be continuing our work with igual (same) and diferente (different). Friends translated these words and then Alicia read a book about ropa (clothes), where friends had the chance to hear and see items that were similar or different to them.
Next, we reviewed the vocabulary for clothes using pictures of different articles of clothing. Friends identified and shared if they had or were wearing that particular piece of clothing. We finished up with one of our favorites...las matamoscas. Today we focused on:
pantalones - pants
pantalones corto - shorts
vestido - dress
camisa de mangas cortas - short sleeve shirt
camisa de mangas largas - long sleeve shirt
Today it was Cam's turn to squeeze la vaca to end our time in Spanish.
The Cardinals also finished working on their November self-portraits. Friends are already developing and refining the skills of adding important details to their drawings.

The Cardinals also had choice time in which they worked together or independently, shared, problem-solved, took turns, negotiated, compromised, and most of all had fun!!
The Cardinals are also really enjoying looking at each other All About Me books. They are discovering so many amazing things about each other that are the same and different.
