Vivian - So, first in the morning, grandma picked Matilda up. When Matilda was gone, I went to Amelia's birthday party. It was at a bouncey place. Then after the birthday party, I went to grandma's house for a sleepover with Matilda because she was at grandma's house already. So I had a sleepover and after the sleepover, I went to Cora's birthday party and that's it.

April - I go to Joey's performance to the Jungle Book. He was on stage. Grandma, Lucas, grandpa, ama, mommy, daddy, and me watched the show. Joey was Colonel Hathi.

There was a ball pit and if you fall inside, then it makes you start over again. It was fun. Yesterday, my tooth did fall out. I was wiggling it everyday and it started to push in and then it came out.

Reyn - I play with daddy. I eat pasta.

The Cardinals had a busy fun-filled day which started in Art class. Amanda brought out observational drawings we did a little while back. We used clear paper and sharpies when we created our observational drawings, and today we added the finishing touches by adding color. For color, we used tissue paper and a glue mixture. Friends used a sponge brush to paint the glue on to help make the tissue paper stick. Once friends were finished adding the tissue paper to their drawings, they peeled the clear paper off a large piece of paper to reveal the colorful magic! We cannot wait to see our designs on display!

After a snack of crackers, cheese, and apples, we had morning meeting. We needed some fresh air and large motor exercise, so outside we went. Back inside, the Cardinals went to library class and returned our borrowed books. Michelle began class by having us take three deep breaths to settle ourselves. She then read us two books, The Thank You by Mo Williams and Sophie's Squash by Pat Zietlow Miller and Anne Wilsdorf.

Soon it was time for Amelia's 5th birthday celebration. We began by Amelia reading The foot book by Dr. Seuss to the class. Next, it was time for some pinata fun and treats, followed by our yummy pizza lunch and to top it off was rainbow frosted cupcakes!

Thanks to Amelia's family for our warm pizza, delicious cupcakes and treats from the pinata.  Thanks, Amelia for sharing your birthday with us!

Ask your Cardinal what was the best part of their day?
                               Have a great evening!
