We had a bunch of overripe bananas in the classroom and so we brought in some more ingredients and put them on a table to see what the Cardinals would observe. As friends noticed the ingredients, here are the thoughts they shared about what we might be making: chocolate chip pancakes, banana muffins, cookies, and banana bread. We then told the Cardinals that we were actually making chocolate chip banana bread. Friends cheered! We talked about taking turns as we all could not help at the same time.
All the Cardinals had a slice of chocolate chip banana bread after they ate their lunch except for one friend. Yummy!!
Today we also spent some time with our second grade buddies. Our buddies came to our classroom to play and to get to know us.
We also spent some time outside with our Catbirds friends!
