This morning we went to Spanish with Alicia. During Spanish, Alicia shared how this Thursday there will be a visiting author at our school. The author's name is Angela Dominguez. Alicia also shared that Angela is an author, and also sometimes an illustrator. Alicia invited friends to lay on there bellies while she read one of Angela's books, Let's Go, Hugo!
Following the story, it was time to get moving so friends played a round of Camina, Camina. After that, Alicia played a Cardinal favorite, Switcharoo. The game begins with friends seated in a circle on the rug. Then, Alicia covers her eyes and counts, and friends move around the rug to a different spot. When Alicia opens her eyes, she has to see if she can remember friends' names since they are now in different spots! The Cardinals LOVE tricking Alicia, and vice versa!
We ended class with the Adios song. Today was Asa's turn to squeeze la vaca.
Today we had a discussion with the Cardinals to think and talk about, "What do you want to learn more about?" Here is what each Cardinal had to say:
Milan - Doctors
Molly - My baby

Thea - Rainbow unicorns
Asa - Fire stations
Almy - Bees
London - Trains

We took a close look at what each friend had to say and...

4 Dentist, doctor, baby, how people walk, Minnie.
3 Bugs, spiders.

Stay tuned to find out how friends voted for our topic of study!
As it was raining and the gym was not available for us, we went downstairs to play.
Ask your Cardinal what they liked about playing downstairs?
