Today in art, Amanda explained to the Cardinals that they would be using different kinds of tools, such as a roller, a scraper, a q-tip, a fork, a toothbrush, a stamper, as well as their fingers. Friends discovered that when Amanda mixed yellow and blue paint together the paint turned green, and blue and red made purple. Then it was time for friends to put smocks on and go discover, experiment and create. Friends were in awe as they explored the different ways each tool, including their hands, helped them to create their masterpieces. Great job, Cardinals!!
Ask your Cardinal what tools they used to paint with in art class today?
After morning meeting and snack time, the Cardinals had choice time and continued our project of designing our t-shirts for the EC and Kindergarten Harvest Festival. Last Friday, we began by dyeing our white AFS t-shirts blue. Today, we worked on creating Cardinal birds on our shirts. Each Cardinal painted one of their hands red which will be the body of the Cardinal bird. Tomorrow we will work together to create the beak and the feet to the Cardinal birds.
Today the Cardinals celebrated Asa's 4th birthday. Asa brought in cupcakes, balloons and finger puppets to share with his friends. Thank you, Asa, for sharing your birthday with us!
Happy Birthday, Asa!
Have a wonderful evening everyone!
