Today has been a very exciting and eventful day! Pajama day and Valentine's Day! This morning some friends went off to senior Spanish, and some friends stayed back in the classroom for small group work. A little bit later we all came back together for music. After music, the Cardinals came back to the classroom for morning meeting and a sweet celebration. We put the tables together family style and friends found a seat. For our special Valentine's/pajama day snack, friends munched on waffles (some with chocolate chips), berries, whipped cream and syrup. The Cardinals gave this snack two thumbs up!
Following snack time, friends made envelopes for their Valentines to be placed in. During choice, friends rotated and took turns doing a journal entry. Today's journal entry was What do you love?
Next up was the passing of the much awaited Valentines! Friends sat together in a large circle and took turns passing their Valentine's Day cards out to each other. Friends sat excitedly and when a friend gave a Valentine's Day card to them, they joyfully put it in their envelope!
We had a very fun, busy, sweet, and comfy day today.
