For snack, which of course went along with our 100 Day of School theme, the Cardinals were given carrot sticks, cucumbers, pea crisps and crackers, and were given the challenge of creating the number 100 out of these items. Friends completed the challenge. Take a look in the pictures below!

Ask your Cardinal what numbers are in 100.

The 100 Day Festivities included stacking and building 100 cups. Friends tested balance, spatial awareness, and worked together to build towers, walls and houses. Another activity was making a 100 day paper crown. Friends used crayons to color in the crown, and then used scissors to cut it out. Once these steps were complete, friends got a teacher to help them tie it on. The other 100 day activities that friends rotated through were making Fruit Loop necklaces, and drawing/writing a journal. To string the Fruit Loops, friends used a grid numbered 1-100 and carefully placed a piece of cereal on each number. The Cardinals practiced one-to-one correspondence, counting, and using pinch grips. Once the grid was complete, friends got a piece of string and starting stringing the Fruit Loops onto it. Today's journal entry was titled, I wish I had 100...

Ask your Cardinal what they wish they had 100 of.
